Capcom Making Racist Free Games!

Which sounds silly in general because I never found Capcom to be racist. But according to a recent statement from their PR manager, they are going to be more aware of their content in the future. It all stems from Resident Evil 5. Why? Because it involved killing African's in Africa. For those who are not aware, the skin color of the majority of people in Africa is black. I'd like to point out also that RE5 did contain a number of white, tan, and mixed skin colors as well. But people freaked out that you were shooting at black people. No one seemed to care about the previous 4 games where you shot at people with different colored skin.

"We are working really closely with our producers in Japan to construct these materials for the West and they are open more then ever to hearing our thoughts and ideas for assets."

I get that people were upset. Fine. Whatever. Hypersensitive society it's no wonder creativity is easily squandered. I just hope that this whole incident with RE5 isn't going to completely screw over future Resident Evil games. Can we just keep in mind that these are games people? Not reality. If we have an Umbrella type of corporation out there, we sure as shit better get our acts together and shut them down. >.>
